Hardware pedicure - distinctive features and step-by-step description for beginners (95 photos)

Features and differences of hardware pedicure

What is this type of foot care and what are its advantages? This is a process of treating the skin of the feet and nail plates, in which keratinized skin particles are removed using a special device-machine equipped with cutter attachments with an abrasive surface, rotating at high speed (about 38,000-52,000 rpm).

The device carefully removes dead areas of ectoderm without damaging healthy areas.

The positive aspects of using this pedicure include the following features:

  • harmlessness of the procedure - the possibility of damage to healthy layers of skin is minimized, in contrast to the classic version of pedicure;
  • the result lasts for a longer period (up to 4-6 weeks), in contrast to manual processing, which is carried out every three weeks;
  • hygiene and gentle treatment of the skin allows you to perform such a pedicure even with sensitive skin without the risk of infection with nail fungus due to the absence of damage to the skin.

Photos before and after a hardware pedicure show its exceptional effectiveness in the fight against dead skin cells: the feet become perfectly straight and take on a wonderful aesthetic appearance instead of worn-out heels and calluses.

Execution technique

Hardware pedicure (what it is is described above), as we have already written, is done without first soaking the feet. But it is still necessary to soften the skin, and for this purpose special solutions are used that are endowed with keratolytic properties. They only affect dead cells and do not touch healthy ones, so there is no need to worry about their safety.

First of all, the client is seated in a comfortable pedicure chair, the skin is softened, and then they begin to polish it using a device with various attachments. The pedicure set has all the necessary cutters to remove corns and rough skin between the toes and on their tips. Attachments with different diameters and abrasiveness, as well as the presence of several speeds, allow the master to work, taking into account all the individual characteristics of the client’s skin, to grind the relief more smoothly and efficiently.

What problems, other than corns, can be dealt with using a hardware pedicure?

Types of hardware grinding

Depending on the roughness of the surface being treated, there are several types of procedures:

  • A classic version of a hardware pedicure, which involves grinding rough skin on the heels and pads of the toes, trimming the cuticle and grinding down the overgrown nail plate (a different cutter attachment is used).
  • "Untrimmed" processing. Training in hardware pedicure should begin with this. The difference is that the regrown cuticle is made softer and pushed back without damaging it.
  • SPA treatment. It is most widely used in salons, where the feet are steamed, massaged, softened with essential oils and exfoliated.

One device will eliminate all foot problems

A quality pedicure is not just about shaping the nail plate. After leaving the salon, you should feel like your legs have been reborn. If the master did not pay attention to problems such as cracks and calluses, then he is not a professional. So, what can the miracle machine help you cope with?

  1. Cracks in the feet are a most unpleasant problem that causes a lot of inconvenience. If the skin is too deep, the master will first remove the protruding, uneven edges with scissors, and then begin sanding with a nozzle with the necessary abrasiveness. At the end of the procedure, the heels are lubricated with a special cream, which will refresh, relieve discomfort and help with speedy healing.
  2. An ingrown toenail can be eliminated easily and painlessly using a hardware pedicure. First of all, a special cream is applied to the ingrown edge, which will soften it. In order not to thin the ingrown corners, the skin is treated with a bur, after which the ingrown nail is painlessly and easily removed using forceps.
  3. Overgrown nail plates can cause severe pain when pressing on the soft part of the finger, so it is necessary to deal with the problem. The master will initially remove the thickening using a special nozzle, and then polish the edges with a white stone.
