At the same time, we wait for the kettle to boil. Immediately after coating with varnish, expose your fingers to steam. Keep your hands at a distance of 10-15 centimeters from the device so as not to get burned. We hold our hands for no more than 1-1.5 minutes. After this, we wait for the varnish to dry and admire the resulting effect. The result is a velvet coating. Yes, the method is funny, but it works!

For convenience, you can apply the varnish to several nails and steam them, then carry out the same procedure with the rest of the nails.

• Starch

Cheap remedy. Potato starch. Find regular polish (not gel polish), pour it onto the palette, add a few grams of starch. Mix. The varnish will change its structure. Apply it to your nails and voila! Beautiful matte manicure at home.

• Flour

For coating you need: base and color coatings, flour, sieve, and brush. Sift the flour through a sieve, making sure that there are no lumps in it (this is important, since the coating may turn out ugly and uneven). Apply base and color coating to one hand. Dip the brush into a bowl of flour, then apply the flour to the nail. Before treating each other nail with your fingernail, dip the brush into the jar of flour again. Attention: the brush must be soft, the other will leave marks. We applied flour - wait a few seconds. Remove excess flour with a brush. Let's dip our fingers into the water. Dry your nails; no need to apply topcoat! Ready.

Before application, you must prepare your nails, remove cuticles, and file them to the desired shape. Then a manicure done at home, and not in a salon, will look beautiful and elegant.

If you have professional tools and tools

A special matte top coat is enough; you can do without matte gel polish.

1. Grinding. A non-standard method that requires skills. Gel polish is applied using the usual method. Then the shiny coating is sanded in the desired place. The top is not touched. An abrasive of about 300 grit is suitable for work. To avoid damaging the top, it can be laid in 2 layers.
2. Acrylic Powder. Apply gel polish, and then a top coat that does not need to dry. Acrylic powder is sprinkled on it. It is advisable to fan the nails with powder. After which the marigolds are dried under a UV lamp. Excess powder can be brushed off - it will not stick in any way.
3. Matte dust. It will have to be purchased additionally. The method is similar to applying acrylic powder, only matte dust is applied with a brush directly to the top coat; you don’t even need to use gel polish. After applying the matte dust, the nails are dried under a UV lamp.

Lace design

Lace design is done using different methods. It is applied to one, two or all fingers.

Brush drawing:

• Nails are coated with gel polish in 2 layers and topcoat in 1, dried in a lamp. Removes stickiness. A little gel paint of a contrasting color to the main one or close to it is dripped onto the palette.
• Using a thin brush (no. 5.0 is possible), grab a drop and successively create a lace pattern. Dry and remove stickiness.
• A layer of primer and base are applied to degreased surfaces and dried in a lamp.
• Cover with 2 layers of gel polish, successively dry in a lamp.

• Trim off the excess and cover with a layer of transparent varnish.
• Dry and remove stickiness.

When using simple lace without impregnation, the nail is pre-treated with a layer of glue.

Stencil:

• A stencil is applied to the prepared nails (1 layer of primer + base + drying in a lamp + 2 layers of gel polish, dried in a lamp).
• Apply gel polish or acrylic paint and dry it in a lamp. Remove the stencil and cover with a layer of transparent varnish.
• Sliders:
• The slider with an openwork pattern is placed on a damp cloth to soften.
• Prepare the nails as in the first case.
• Remove the slider from the base and apply it to the nail with a slight deviation from the cuticle.
• Any bulges that arise are trimmed.
• Grind off the excess and cover with top coat 2 times.
• Removes stickiness.

Additional options for creating a matte shade

Using a matte top. Apply a base, then a coat of the desired color, and then a matte top.

• The finished varnish is matte. Beauty stores sell a large amount of ready-made gel polish with a matte finish. Professionals advise fixing the gel polish with a topcoat - this way the coating will last longer.
