- Place the file under the plate parallel to the sinuses and carefully file the sides.
- The right angles formed at the edges with sharp tips on each nail are slightly rounded (by 1–2 mm) with a nail file, moving the tool in one direction and lifting it above the corner by 1–2 degrees, no more.
- Grind the plates with a buff, placing it parallel to the nail and rubbing it no more than 8–12 times in one direction so as not to damage the top layer. The sides and end are also processed.

If necessary, some masters apply another layer of gel polish to consolidate the effect or correct any minor imperfections, after which the nails are polymerized again.
Step six.
The master carefully removes the mold, and the stickiness from the gel polish is removed using a special liquid. Next, the nails are polished and shaped, with the length adjusted.
A lot of dust “waste” is formed on artificial nails after filing; they need to be removed with a soft brush.
Step seven.
The surface of the nails is again degreased and covered with a final coating to secure the coating during gel extensions.
