Manicure with drawings - artistic painting on your nails (69 photos)

Progress in the beauty industry does not stand still. Every year we are offered new techniques in nail design. Just 50 years ago a woman could only dream of this. After all, when you came to a nail salon, you could only choose the shape of the nail and the color of the coating.

Nowadays there is a huge choice. Regardless of the shape and length of the nail, the master can create any desired style. The main thing is to make the right choice. And there is plenty to choose from: voluminous, artistic, aquarium nail designs. In order not to get confused in such diversity, let's figure out what a modern fashionable manicure is.

Easy drawings

You can easily do easy drawings at home. These are simple lines, dots that form a pattern, as well as polka dots or simple images of fruits or animals. To create dots, you can use a regular match, and to draw monograms, a brush with fine bristles. Use acrylic paints for drawings. It will be easier for you to work with them than with regular varnishes.

Volumetric nail design

The flight of fancy of inventive manicurists has no limits. It’s not enough for them to simply make intricate designs and patterns in the horizontal plane. Modern manicure has acquired volume. Now it can be done in 3D projection.

This type of design cannot be called everyday; it is done on natural and artificial nails. Protruding elements on the nail plate can be done in any form; now “knitted” manicure is especially popular. Often used for three-dimensional details are images of flowers, floral and geometric patterns, animal figures, various logos and inscriptions.

If you don’t plan to wear the manicure for a long time, then rhinestones, ribbons, beads, and sequins are used in the design. For special occasions, voluminous flowers are suitable, which are made from small parts and then assembled into a whole composition.

When choosing a pattern and creating a harmonious image, you need to adhere to the basic rules. If you follow them, you can avoid the classic mistakes that novice masters make. Calm, pastel colors are recommended for daily manicure. This way the nails look more noble, and the three-dimensional design is better visible on a light base.

If you want to make your manicure non-glossy, then a matte fixer is suitable for this. Simply apply it to your finished manicure and let it dry. When creating a composition, each detail of the pattern must be dried separately, this will help avoid deformation of the drawn elements. If a voluminous manicure is done by a novice master, then you should start with simple elements, gradually increasing the level of complexity.

Begin your manicure by cleaning the cuticles. This can be a classic edged or hardware manicure. The nail can be given any shape, it all depends on the chosen design. Then the varnish of the desired shade is applied to the prepared nail plate.

Next, patterns are created using special materials to create volume. It can be gel polish, but gel plasticine and “liquid stones” are best suited for creating protruding parts. If necessary, additional shiny decorative elements are added. The finished composition is fixed with colorless varnish. The procedure requires a lot of time and patience.

Medium drawings

Medium-sized drawings will require some skill and steadiness on your part. Such prints most often include feathers, light openwork, floral motifs, and images of flora. Such universal designs can decorate any nails: short, medium and long. A marble print will look quite original and can perfectly decorate any shape of nails.

Aquarium nail design

When you first hear the phrase “aquarium design,” a picture of a round, pot-bellied aquarium immediately appears in your mind’s eye. And there a goldfish swims forlornly inside, around the ceramic ruins of an “ancient castle”. But in fact, aquarium design is an amazingly beautiful manicure, which consists of many small details and decorative elements coated with a transparent gel.

Despite the fact that the procedure is quite new, it already has many fans. It is performed on extended nails and takes longer than an artistic manicure. The finished nail looks like a three-dimensional painting under glass.

Aquarium nail design

The advantage of the aquarium design is that the created design can be worn for up to three months; all you need to do is arrive on time for correction and correct the overgrown part of the nail. If you are tired of the pattern, don’t like it, or need to change the color of the nail, simply apply a layer of colored varnish to the plate.

To create an image in this style, the choice of materials is practically unlimited. Pebbles, sparkles, rhinestones, shells, flowers, beads and more, in the end everything will be filled with a layer of gel. They also use colored foil, ribbons, multi-colored threads, lace, and feathers. You can also make a composition from molded acrylic flowers and combine them with artistic painting.

A manicure is performed in several stages. First, the nail is cleaned, the length is adjusted and a base layer of gel is applied. And from this moment the creation of a miracle begins. The master combines and slightly consolidates the composition. The complexity of the design depends on the experience of the artist or the design chosen by the client. The finished image is covered with a layer of gel. Next, the shape of the nail is adjusted, the surface is polished until completely transparent. The final touch is to apply the sealing coating.

A well-done aquarium manicure will guarantee a good mood. And the chosen design will emphasize the individuality and character traits of its owner.

Complex drawings

Complex drawings can only be completed by a professional who has artistic skills. Here the master can delicately draw animals, birds, space, complex openwork, colorful flowers. Complex drawings turn out very realistic. Sometimes it seems that the flower on your nail is really real. This is a very interesting choice for creating a luxurious manicure.

Types of painting on nails

Painting can be different, because everything will depend on the skill of the master and his imagination, as well as on the available tools and decorations that will help form and complete the image:

  • Easy - a simple drawing technique is used here, which often depicts various floral patterns: leaves, peduncles, flowers and their buds;
  • The intermediate level is more difficult compared to the first option and will require a lot of skills;
  • High level - masters create realistic drawings, such as landscapes, portraits of people, animals and much more;
  • Aerobics - a unique technique of painting nails involves the use of special decor: dried leaves, dried petals, coffee beans and other things.

Landscapes

Landscape drawings are also classified as complex types of drawing. After all, here the drawing itself is carried out in detail, and the background of the nail coating itself is also harmoniously selected. It is in this tandem that a landscape manicure will look perfect. You can choose your own landscape design for each season, which will allow you to always keep up with the times.

Zhostovo technology

This type of nail painting involves applying a design to a gel nail, although it is occasionally used on regular polishes. Gel polish coating will preserve the resulting masterpiece for a longer time.

Let's look at the Zhostovo technique using the example of poppies.

  1. Apply a base black tone to the prepared nails.
  2. Draw the border of the contour of the future petal and paint it with a flat brush.
  3. Focusing on the main petal, draw the side petals.
  4. Gradually we move to the central and upper part of the flower.
  5. Using point movements, giving the effect of realism, we will depict the middle part of the bud.
  6. Next, we draw the leaves, but you should not place much emphasis on the greenery, as it can ruin the entire design.
  7. We supplement the drawing with auxiliary lines in order to completely complete it.
  8. We consolidate the resulting result.

It is worth noting that when performing the Zhostovo technique, acrylic paint and gel varnish convey all the naturalness of floral images.

Funny drawings

Funny drawings have a humorous, sometimes even childish character. Most often they are multi-colored, colorful and quite bright. The master can depict cute minions, cheerful SpongeBob, and other cartoon characters on your nails.

Funny drawings are thematic in nature and if you are not a positive and courageous person, then this type will definitely not suit you. You can decorate one or all nails with this design. But be careful not to overload your manicure.

Modern nail art

Nowadays, it is not enough to just have well-groomed nails. Progress does not stand still and every year nail salons are increasingly expanding the range of nail design and painting services. Modern nail art allows you to realize the most original and daring ideas. After all, the correct use of length and color will visually correct even the imperfect shape of the nail.

Decorating the nail plate requires the master to have certain work skills, precision of movements, and knowledge of the characteristics of the material he is working with. To decorate your nails, you need to be able to choose the right decorative elements, the right color and shape. After all, the nail design that a woman chooses for herself can tell so much about her character, preferences, and social status.

To create masterpieces on nails, varnishes of various colors are used, the design is applied with a needle, brushes of different thicknesses, shapes, synthetic and natural. Cartoon characters, floral arrangements, hieroglyphs, geometric and abstract designs are applied to the nails. Chinese painting and oriental patterns are also popular.

But the French classic manicure does not leave its position; many nail design ideas have arisen on its basis. There is one unshakable rule left - a clear smile line. But the color combination of a white tip and a pink nail is no longer necessary; the master combines the color scheme at his own discretion.

If you have to work with extended nails, then it is very easy to create a volumetric or aquarium design. A variety of decorative elements are used, with their help a design is created on the nail and covered with a transparent gel. This gives the effect of a picture behind the glass. Using acrylic powder or gel, you can decorate your nails with various molded figures, but this technique is not suitable for everyday wear. The decoupage technique is also widely used, which allows you to stick your favorite pattern onto the nail plate.

The choice of decorative elements in nail art is not limited. Beads, crystals, lace, foil, rhinestones, sparkles are perfect for decorating a manicure. Even dried flowers, shells, leaves can be part of the composition and used in the work of the master. Here the choice is limited only by imagination.

Stylish drawings

Stylish drawings are always made in minimal quantities. Most often, masters use them to highlight one nail, thereby placing increased emphasis on it. This type of manicure is considered a stylish option that can suit you for any occasion.

How is a voluminous manicure done?

A voluminous manicure with gel polish is not difficult to do, but if you want to get an excellent result, order it at a salon. If you have the time and desire to learn how to make it at home, then our instructions will help you. To work you will need:

  • set for hygienic manicure and cuticle treatment products;
  • gel polishes of a similar color, but different in tone (although you can use the same color);
  • velvet sand, acrylic powder or matte fixative (you can do without them);
  • degreaser;
  • primer;
  • UV lamp;
  • thin brush;
  • composition for removing the sticky layer.

Choose a pattern for your manicure in advance. The simplest of them is a braid, like on knitted sweaters. You can use more complex knitting patterns, flowers, ornaments or stitches. We do volumetric manicure in the following sequence:

  1. First you need to do a hygienic manicure and prepare the surface of your nails. To do this, we process and push back the cuticles, file the nails to correct the length and shape. Lightly file the surface of the nail to remove the smooth keratinized layer. This will improve adhesion to the gel. Then we degrease the nails and apply primer to them. We dry it slightly under an ultraviolet device.
  2. Now we make the base for the manicure. To do this, apply one layer of pastel-colored gel polish. We level it well and dry it under a lamp. The drying time should be indicated on the bottle of varnish. But it’s better to increase it a little so that the surface dries well, otherwise the three-dimensional pattern will blur. We make the second layer in the same way and dry it under a lamp. Now you need to remove the dispersion layer from the surface of the nails.
  3. Next, use a lighter shade of gel polish to create a pattern on your nails. However, if your gel is thick enough, you can paint with the same shade of varnish. It will be clearly visible due to the relief of the surface. To do this, use a thin brush. You need to add as much varnish as is enough to obtain a three-dimensional pattern. Dry the pattern under the lamp for several minutes. Tip: if you want to achieve a real three-dimensional pattern, dry each strip and stroke separately under the lamp.
  4. After the first layer of the pattern has dried, you need to repeat the procedure. That is, you need to draw the pattern again, falling into the same lines. After the second layer of the pattern has dried, repeat the procedure a third time. Only now we don’t dry the varnish completely. It is important that there is a sticky surface on which the velvet sand can stick.
  5. When a dispersion layer forms on the surface of the pattern, sprinkle the nails with velvet sand or acrylic powder. Pour as much powder as possible onto your nails; excess can then be removed with a dry brush.
  6. Our volumetric manicure is ready! The finishing coat is not used in this case, since the entire effect may be lost.

Tips: you can do without velvet sand by doing a voluminous manicure with a glossy shine. And some girls like a completely matte manicure. To do this, after the last layer has dried, you need to apply a matte fixer.

Fruits

Very juicy and “tasty” fruit designs are especially important to choose for the summer season. They are bright, colorful and with such a manicure you will not be bored. On your nails there may be slices of lemon, orange, watermelon, kiwi, lime, as well as a variety of berries.
