Review of Bluesky gel polishes. Color palette of various series and customer reviews

Several years ago, or to be more precise, about seven years, a new type of manicure was born, which was superior to the usual one in wearability. It got its name thanks to the company that was the first to produce a polish that can stay on nails for three or more weeks - Shellac.

Shellak CND gel polish is the very first gel polish, which became a trendsetter.

It meets all the requirements and standards necessary to obtain real and high-quality shellac, but the cost of the bottle is not affordable for everyone (a 10 mg bottle costs about 1000 rubles).

The Chinese company produces a product created in the image and likeness of Shellak CND. This product is called Bluesky.

Today Bluesky has conquered the market with its affordable price (a 10 ml bottle costs 300 rubles) and a large, varied palette of colors.

Comparing Bluesky gel polish and Shellak CND, you can immediately note that the consistency of the gel polish in the first is more liquid than in the second. This is not always convenient, and the liquid consistency is also inconvenient for beginners to work with.

Many craftsmen have switched to a cheaper product, but their opinion is that there is practically no difference between the discoverer of shellac and his follower. In addition, Bluesky has a much larger color palette. But there are others who will not give up Shellak CND, considering Bluesky to be a fake. Each choice is based on preference and personal opinion.

Advantages and disadvantages of Bluesky gel polish

Today, the products of the Chinese brand Bluesky are widely distributed in salons and are often found in specialized stores. This brand of gel polishes is well known and available for use at home. Affordability can be considered Bluesky's first advantage over its competitors.

An undoubted advantage will be a large assortment . Bluesky is ready to offer a large palette of colors, as well as bases, fixatives and other products necessary for shellac.

Extensive experience in the market, demand, positive customer reviews - all this suggests that Bluesky has firmly consolidated its position and does not intend to lose it. Of course, today many other companies act as competitors to Chinese products.

Italian Tertio, TNL, UNO and other gel polish brands are capable of surpassing Bluesky in quality and offering the market new collections of interesting colors, patterns, effects, but they are not so accessible.

Some series of European gel polishes have to be ordered on foreign websites, significantly overpaying for delivery.

In order to purchase Bluesky, all you have to do is go to your nearest specialty store.

Many experts are satisfied with the quality of Bluesky and choose gel polishes from this brand. Much depends on the requests of the master and the expectations of clients.

Step by step instructions for applying Bluesky Shellac

Instructions for using Bluesky Shellac Color are similar to the technique for applying Shellac CND. But, if previously it was not possible to create a manicure using these products, then there are instructions on how to apply bluesky shellac:

  1. Preparation. At this stage, it is necessary to remove the cuticle, level the surface of the plate with a buff, and shape the nails. Then the nails are treated with a degreaser. These actions must be performed so that the gel polish “adheses” to the plate better.
  2. The basis. You need to take a small amount of base onto the brush and carefully begin to apply the liquid to the nail from the cuticle to the free edge. It is necessary to cover the entire surface of the nail, leaving no unfilled areas. Then dry the layer with a UV lamp.
  3. Color layer. Bluesky should be applied in a thin layer to the plate. Dry it under a lamp. Then repeat these steps twice more.
  4. Protection. Fix is applied so that the gel polish lasts for a long time, so that chips and microcracks do not occur.
  5. Removing excess. Treat your nails again with degreaser.

You can repeat this technique at home if you have a UV lamp and Bluesky materials.

Bluesky gel polish palette

We must pay tribute to the Chinese brand Bluesky, they really have a large selection of a wide variety of shades of each color.

There are many interesting effects, such as “Cat Eye” or thermal gel polish. Bluesky regularly expands its collections of colors and shades; it is interesting to watch the expansion of this company's products. They constantly come up with something new and interesting.

The Shellak collection varies in density . Here you can find a thick varnish that immediately fills the surface of the nail with rich color. This varnish is applied in two layers in order to give the manicure brightness and depth of shade. There are also transparent options in various colors. A good range of colors suitable for a French jacket.

palette

Bluesky has something to offer mother-of-pearl lovers and microglitter lovers. Each shade is rich and applies easily to the nail. There are matte color options. It is also possible to purchase not just microglitters, but holographic glitters.

In order to surprise its customers, Bluesky is able to offer combinations of several colors in one bottle . For example, gel polish is blue with a silver tint, or peach-beige with an emerald tint. Despite the complexity of the color, the gel polish applies evenly along the entire length of the nail.

The L collection is not entirely convenient for the buyer in that gel polish of different colors is bottled in identical black bottles. Such similarity can confuse the master. It is not very convenient to distinguish colors by numbers. The color shades themselves are excellent. They are complex, with tints, sparkles and depth of each shade.

In general, all Bluesky gel polish collections contain more than 600 shades . Among them you can find a coating of any texture, various effects, the presence of small and large sparkles in gel polish, pearlescent variations, neon coating effect, metallic effect, cat's eye and much more.

The production plant is closed, all goods are on the Chinese market! The quality is low, the composition in this regard is unknown. Causes allergies in every 5 “lucky” manicure owners: from ordinary itching to ulcers! In this case, the symptoms do not appear immediately, assume that it goes into your nail plate and (God forbid!) into the skin! Gel polishes from this company are used by non-professionals who don’t feel sorry for your hands, but feel sorry for your wallet.

Good afternoon.

Very bad review of the “gel polish” Bluesky Shellac Color, I bought two – 8047 and 8049. I write “gel polish” in quotes because it’s difficult to even call it just a varnish. Of course the price is low, but in the end I just “threw away” 300 rubles. Apparently the organizer does not know what gel polish is and quite sincerely offers to participate in the purchase of this “hat”.

Advantages:

Large palette of colors, beautiful current colors, cheap price

Flaws:

Causes allergies

Everything about this gel polish is good: the palette, the price, and the ease of application... but it was with it that I learned the insidiousness of allergies! Before I met this varnish, I had been doing nail extensions with different coatings for many years, at one time I started with acrylic, then switched to gels, I never knew what an allergy was. And so I discovered these Blueskay polishes, I was very happy, I immediately bought about 20 different colors, the colors are really cool! And then it all started, I covered it for the first time, everything seemed to be normal, a few hours later I felt a slight itch near the nails, but I didn’t even pay attention, then it seemed to go away, then after the correction, the itching appeared again, also after a few hours, but already stronger and swelling appeared around the nails with small blisters. I thought it would pass, just as I decided to be patient that time. Nothing went away, it became stronger, and at night the itching was completely unbearable. I started applying ointments on everything, because I didn’t want to believe that it was an allergy, I even thought that it was some kind of fungus that was causing such itching. I smeared everything with antifungal ointments, antibacterial, and hormonal for allergies, alas, nothing, I took off the varnish and immediately felt better, the itching decreased, and after a couple of days there was no trace of blisters, swelling or itching! A month has passed. I decided to try again. This time everything turned out much worse, in addition to all these symptoms with terrible itching and blisters, peeling appeared and the skin cracked, the fingers now not only itched, but also hurt. I took it all off again. But now I treated my fingers for a week until everything healed. I took allergy pills and applied ointments. A year has passed since this experience! I wanted to get a manicure again, so they gave me gel polish from another company, O.P.I. I think it was called or something like that, I was very afraid of allergies, I thought I would have the same for everything. And no, there were no allergies with this company! I was overjoyed, thinking that now I had no allergies, and returned to my Blueskay! I went and bought a couple more fresh gels. Result: this time, my fingers swollen immediately, I took off the gel the next day, but the allergy tormented me this time for a MONTH! The view was terrible, my fingers were cracking, bleeding was flowing, it was impossible to wash my hands, the water made the cracks creep even more, everything hurt terribly, you couldn’t do anything with your hands, it immediately bled. Now the treatment has cost me a lot of money, and most importantly all this torment! I drank sorbents, anti-allergy pills, took injections, applied different ointments, because many types like Akriderm, Sinoflan, hydrocortisone and other inexpensive ones did not help at all! Fortunately, I am a pharmacist myself and know how to treat myself. I bought half the pharmacy of my ointments until I found the right one that alleviated the condition; it turned out to be Dermovate ointment. I had to throw away all the Blyeskay polishes, that’s how I “saved” with these polishes! Now, when I go to get a coating done, I warn you that I am allergic to bluesky, in many salons I was told that many people are actually allergic to this varnish and because of this in normal salons they do not work with it, questionable savings.

Advantages:

No

Flaws:

Liquid, poorly pigmented, shrinks, dries poorly, color fades.

Good day to all. I became familiar with BLUESKY gel polish quite a long time ago. This was one of my first experiments, you can say that it was on BLUESKY that I learned to cover my nails in a new way for myself. And it was so “successful” that I almost gave up this business out of frustration. No matter how hard I tried to apply it, it either bubbled up, didn’t dry, or streaked. I already thought that my hands were growing from the wrong place, until I tried gel polish

Syster. This is where everything fell into place. I'll tell you about my torment in more detail. To celebrate, for the very first time I bought 4 shades of gel polish: coral, white, pearlescent purple and pearlescent cappuccino. Looking ahead, I will say that only the last one turned out to be successful. BLUESKY gel polishes are liquid, poorly pigmented, and do not dry well in the lamp. Their quality is not stable, but “depending on your luck.” And now about each in order. White went to the trash heap first. It streaks, does not give a dense coating, and is not suitable for a French coat, since you need to apply at least 5 layers. I just fell in love with purple (shade 40530). In the bottle it seemed so rich, with a mysterious shimmer. Juicy, summer. I used it this summer. I painted my fingernails and toenails and went for a walk with the child. I got to the park and noticed that my nails, instead of bright purple, had an unhealthy yellow color. The gel polish faded in the sun in about half an hour! Coral. Shade 40505. It seems dense in the bottle. When applied it also seems (!) dense. When dried in a lamp, it pulls off the ends and cuticles and does not dry out. You need to apply it in a thin layer, you will have to put 4-5 layers. The cappuccino turned out to be the only decent one and not capricious. A sufficient amount of pigment, a lot of mother-of-pearl. It is applied without fuss and dries in the required 2 minutes. The number of layers depends on your desire, two will be enough, but you can add a third for richness. Later I bought another shade 80578, pearlescent. Again liquid, again you need many layers. I applied three to the palette, but I will have to put more on a natural nail. This is where I finished my experiments with BLUESKY gel polishes. There are much more worthy brands in this price category, working with which is a pleasure and not nerve-wracking.

For the first time I trusted my hands to someone other than myself. Again, this is my first experience with gel polish . I didn't like him, to be honest. I will describe my dissatisfaction here.

Price

About 300 rubles.

Where can I buy

In any store that has products intended for marigolds. For example, in Smolensk you can buy this varnish in the Fashion Etalon .

Package

An ordinary black bottle, from which you can’t even tell what color the polish is inside.

Brush

The most ordinary, unremarkable, inconvenient . You have to smear it back and forth for a long time so that the consistency completely covers the entire nail. As for the bright color as a result, many layers are required for the desired effect (my girl did 5-6). In addition, I also had holes that required separate layers and minutes under the lamp. Moreover, the consistency of the varnishes from this series is different: some are thinner, some are thicker.

Drying

One layer dries under the lamp for about 2 minutes , if I'm not mistaken.

Durability

My nails lasted only 4 days in very good condition , and then it started - chips, prints, scratches, complete removal of the nail polish.

In general, I expected that I would go to the sea and not have to worry about manicure and pedicure there, but I was wrong. My marigolds made me feel uncomfortable because they were unkempt.

Unfortunately, gel polish is not for me. I'll stick with Golden Rose: it lasts longer and is less of a hassle.

And removing it is a complete hassle! I barely managed it. And that's not entirely ideal.

Advantages:

huge palette, cheap price

Flaws:

Unpurified methacrylate sooner or later gives a terrible allergy! Take care of your health!

Details:

I have been using Blue Sky gel polish for a long time. The price is great, the palette is simply fantastic, there seem to be colors for every taste. Of course, as with any material, you had to get used to it, some colors behaved poorly - white, black, light shades, pastels - they didn’t dry well, and it took a while to dry not the prescribed 2 minutes, but at least twice as long under a 36W UV lamp. And I lived with him wonderfully until a misfortune happened... some bubbles appeared on my fingers... at first I didn’t pay any attention to it, well, you never know, and the bubbles weren’t obvious, I thought someone had even bitten me. But then it got worse, itching, burning... the skin began to look bad. At night I could not sleep because all my hands itched terribly from the heat. Then the skin began to peel off. The allergy developed very quickly, probably because I continued to work and did not understand what had happened. I suddenly had to take a day off and go to the dermatologist - the diagnosis was allergic dermatitis. They forbade me from doing anything with my hands at all. He suggested hospitalization, just so that I could take care of my hands and give the wounds a chance to heal. They prescribed me injections and some powders from the receptor department, then I began to recover. I began to work slowly, wearing gloves, of course, and only nontril ones, since they are the only ones that best protect against chemicals; everyone else was skipped. Nontrile ones were also passed through, but less. As a result, almost immediately after the incident, I gave up Blue Sky gel polishes and switched to more expensive ones (CND), which I still use to this day and everything is fine, but I don’t forget about the gloves. When I encountered this terrible allergy, I read similar stories on many forums, Blue Sky gel polish is cheap, it contains a substance called methacryate, which is extremely toxic. It is contained in all gel polishes, but in Chinese ones it is not purified, so it gives such a reaction sooner or later. Don’t skimp on your health or the health of your clients.

Bluesky gel polish "Cat's eye" series

Gel polish with the “Cat Eye” effect has long been in fashion and is popular to this day. The coating turns out to be unusual, similar to a rare gemstone in different colors.

This effect is achieved thanks to the innovative formula of magnetic shellac. Gel polish is applied either to a transparent base or to a plain base. The effect of a glare sliding across the surface of the nail appears after the gel polish has dried.

Various gel polish manufacturers are ready to offer “Cat Eye”, but Bluesky offers a collection that includes more than a hundred different shades.

Thermo gel polish Bluesky

An interesting manicure option can create a thermo-gel effect . This gel polish can change color under the influence of different temperatures. If you are outside in winter, the cold will give your nail color one shade, but as soon as you go inside and warm up, the shade will change noticeably.

The collection of thermal varnish gels from Bluesky includes a large assortment . Here you can find not only varnish gels that can change shades of the same color under the influence of temperature, but also more complex solutions when the color itself changes.

bluesky thermo

For example, from brown to pink, or from blue to gold. In addition, you can purchase thermal gel with large or small glitter.

It cannot be assumed that manicure with the “Thermo” effect is popular only in the winter season; in the summer it is no less interesting.

The coating will change color even if you just pick up a cold glass of lemonade.

Making the right choice: the advantages of Bluesky gel polish

Why shellac and not a regular manicure? Here are some undeniable advantages of Bluesky shellac:

  • Firstly, after applying gel polish, your nails are protected. They do not break, crack or become damaged.
  • We have already mentioned that shellac is an ideal product if you want to keep your manicure “as if it came straight from the salon” for one or even two weeks.
  • Gel polish has been certified and is harmless to health.
  • Many people are also attracted to the Bluesky palette. Gel polish, or rather your favorite color, can be chosen from more than 250 shades.
  • The product is relatively inexpensive and is used sparingly.

These are the benefits that can be identified from using gel polish instead of the usual and familiar nail coating.

Gel polish Bluesky One Step

Bluesky single-phase gel polishes are already on sale. The uniqueness of this collection is that for a complete manicure you will only need one gel polish: you will not need either a base or a coating.

Bluesky one step is three in one: gel polish, base and coating. To use this product, you just need to prepare the surface of the nail, as before a regular manicure.

The gel polish dries for 2 minutes in an ultraviolet lamp. The collection includes about 60 different shades. This manicure lasts on your nails for about a week.

Gel polish “Bluesky”: negative reviews

Of course, it is difficult to find a product that absolutely everyone likes. Therefore, Bluesky shellac also has negative reviews from women for whom, for some reason, it was not suitable. Here's what dissatisfied customers say:

  • If you apply more layers of varnish, achieving, for example, brightness of color, then the coating on your nails looks “thick” and not too neat.
  • For some, shellac lasts only 4-5 days, and then it begins to crack. Perhaps this effect is associated with the characteristics of the nail plate of the owner of the manicure (for example, it was not sanded or degreased enough), or the woman simply did not follow the recommendations after applying shellac. This applies primarily to prolonged contact with water and aggressive detergents.
  • Some people find it difficult to remove the coating, especially if they do it with regular acetone. Special liquids for removing shellac are sold, and it is recommended to remove gel polish with them.
  • They note that after prolonged and continuous use of shellac, their own nails become brittle, porous, and begin to break.

Reviews

A few reviews of Bluesky products:

Olga: “I didn’t like Bluesky at all, I prefer to use Shellak CND.”

Tatyana: “I used Shellak CND and Bluesky. I didn't notice any difference. And if you can’t see the difference, then there’s no point in paying more.”

Elizaveta: “Bluesky’s light shades are complex. You can get the desired result with only 4 or even 5 layers.”

Galina: “I like Bluesky gel polishes, but not the base. It's very difficult to remove."
