As you understand, I wore Shellac with pleasure. But somehow I was already pretty tired of the not very rich collection of Shellacs at my master’s disposal, I wanted at least small changes, so my hand naturally reached out to samples of GelColor shades. One of them caught my attention immediately: deep raspberry, tending towards cherry burgundy (forgive me for my “Russian”!). Let me note that in general I most often paint my nails in burgundy tones - I dearly love such shades.
The master convinced that “gel polishes in Africa are gel polishes, and if Shellac behaves more than decently on my nails, then Gelcolor will not disappoint me.” Yeah, now!!!
The application technology is the same (naturally!), everything is done as it should be. Freshly painted nails shimmer nobly and delight the eye, hurray!
On the first day, I avoid prolonged contact with water and being in hot rooms (I even refuse to take a shower every night, because I’m an experienced person, I take care of my manicure!). Confident that with a manicure that cost me 1,000 rubles, as usual, I go through 3 weeks and lead my usual household lifestyle. But it was not there!
Literally after
4 days, the first alarming symptoms begin to appear
- the ends are slightly exposed (it seemed to me that the master sealed them quite normally). I’m upset, but it’s not a tragedy yet...
After another couple of days, I notice that on one nail the varnish begins to peel off from the nail
!!! It's just peeling off like a film! I didn’t take pictures then, because to make it obvious I would have to pick up the varnish, and I, for obvious reasons, was afraid to do this. But on the other finger the chip is already more than noticeable:
I'm starting to get irritated and wonder how long my manicure will last!
Then gradually the tips of almost every finger chip off, and the damage reaches the left hand (((
Another week later ( a total of 2 weeks have passed since applying the varnish
) I understand that it’s a shame to leave the house with such nails and I’m trying to get rid of the disgusting coating.
And then I understand that the most “interesting” awaits me ahead!!! Gelcolor is simply disgusting to remove
, although I do exactly the same as with Shellac! Only on one finger is it removed without a trace, all the others are somehow spoiled!!!
The next day I repeat the procedure, but the result, alas, is the same (((

The buff couldn't cope with all these defects! So I walk around with “beautiful” nails (((

Total, what did I get for 1,000 rubles (okay, for 800 rubles, the manicure cost 200 rubles)?
— Flawless appearance of nails in just 3-4 days. And after 2 weeks of wearing it, it became simply embarrassing to show off your hands to others!
— Wasted time and effort on removing the coating twice, which, moreover, was not crowned with success (((
- Damaged condition of nails.
Do I want to experience it all again?
Of course no!
Why do I give 3 points and not one?
Because I hope it’s just me who’s unlucky... Maybe the master just had a professional crisis that day?
